Orianna is a high-utility control mage who functions entirely through 'The Ball.' She zones you with , pokes with , and looks for game-ending CC with . She is very squishy and immobile but becomes a massive threat in grouped scenarios.

| The Ball flies to a target location and stays there | This is her primary positioning tool. Damage decreases for every unit it passes through. Watch the Ball's position, not Orianna's, to know her threat range. | |
| An electric pulse around the Ball leaving a circular field | High burst damage and a slow. If you step in the field, she gains a speed boost while you are slowed. Avoid standing on top of the Ball at all times. | |
| The Ball flies to an ally and creates a shield | Provides a shield and passive Armor/MR to the target. Note that deals damage to enemies the Ball passes through on its way to the target. | |
| A large circular shockwave pulses from the Ball | Massive AOE displacement and damage. It pulls you toward the center of the Ball. If she misses , she loses almost all her teamfight pressure for the next minute. |
